Does Microsoft and Sony need the Kinect/Move to be success? What is the worst that happens if they fail?

They dont need them to be. However if they are, it would be big for either brand.

Kinect won't fail, but Sony may lose money in an unnecessary product (that's not to say kinect isn't one either)
