So to my Java developer friends, what are some good Java compilers/IDE's? I know Eclipse, anymore suggestions preferences?

I personally use eclipse, but a lot of people seem to like NetBeans. I think Code::Blocks has Java support, too.

Well right on! You're up to a smooth transition, since you already have C# skills. Good luck with that. In the meantime, Me.C++

Yeah I've been spending more time in the C/C++ forum here lately, forcing me to get back into that language

I like messing with low-level stuff. Finally got time to read the "Game Physics Engine Development" book. Enjoying it.

N00b question, what;s JavaEE? So it's not the same as regular Java development?

game dev is fun, but I'm the same. I think it's the fact that I can code it, but never have the graphics to do it.

I don't know about you, but I usually start working on some kick-ass engine, then lose interest when I need gfx.

I like it for the reason that it is so much fun while creating the game, and there is a lot of fun when testing it as well.
