Does anyone know if I need to get anything extra for the hard drive since it's a "bare drive?" Something tells me I'm missing a cable.

I've never heard of even a bare drive not coming with the required cable.

Your motherboard should come with a couple SATA cables, and the power cable will be included with your power supply

yeah. I've never started building a computer and not had everything come with all cables necessary.
