Depends on context, but planning generally refers to analysis & design of a solution to a problem. #ictcurric

Analysis is "what is the problem?" whereas design is "how do we fix it?" - not sure if this is what you're asking. #ictcurric

Trying to define the difference. Lesson planning and lesson design. Plan, time, tasks, resources, Design, mood, pace, theme

Okay. I'd still go with "what do I want to achieve?" & "how will I do it?" as the difference between the two, if you want to draw one.

Design is the transformation of a thought process into a formal document of any form; whereas, plan is the further details of time, cost and quality to materialize the design.
