I went to the Apple store with a home button problem... They replaced the phone immediately.

My home buttons always die :( I worry that it's something I do - mash 'em too hard or something.

Not sure if your button is or isn't dying, but posted a fix to that the other day http://t.co/8uETsl1w

Mine is a 3GS, I doubt they'd do that.

Sounds like woo to me. It's a button. It provides electrical conductivity.

Over a year from purchase I'm guessing. Time for a fix at your local iPhone repairshop... I'd guess it's a $50 fix or less

... by local repairshop I do not mean an Apple store :)

guy at apple store told me it might be a software glitch, he had same problem. Suggested full reset..haven't tried it myself

to fix it, you may need to go down on Siri's dock connector and blow. Canned air works best.

not Siri here but maybe you need to reset it? Just google. Built in app, double? tap home button and press power button, or like

mine too; I've been wondering if it's software. But there'd probably be more screaming if so.
