I've heard comic book artists on here say that an amateur mistake is to use techniques like 'panel stacking'. What does that mean?

Panel stacking is having no clean gutters between panels, so they overlap instead.

Yeah, I think you can tell the reading order perfectly in that strip so it isn't a problem. Likewise with the bit in Costume.

The key is moderation I think. I also don't like hearing you should *never* break the panel border.
