Does anyone else think Glen Johnson should have been sent off seein as tho Kompany did? Who's tackle was worse?
Newcastle Upon Tyne
both as bad as each other - both deserve a str8 red. He is a very lucky man - wonder if FA will say anything?!
do you rate Andy caroll... Be honest
johnsons was well worse, looked more forceful and cuda done a lot more damage! That's frm a #MUFC fan!
haven't seen johnsons tackle but if it was 2 footed then it's a red. Kompany went in 2 footed so deserved a red, poor tekkers
johnsons was way worse than kompanys! A lot more aggression and follow through, even tho he won the ball still a huge lunge
Newbiggin By The Sea
Glen Johnson's had to be worse, more momentum in the challenge, could of caused more damage than Kompany's. #consistency
In a world of my own
kompany had his feet higher but I guess it doesn't make a difference a two footed challenge is unacceptable #todangerous
Barrow in Furness
Glen Johnson's was a far worse tackle, did the ref take any action cos if he didn't the FA might......#refereesinconsistent
you will get hundreds of abusive tweets off kopites now for that lad
Johnson's was worse... What a difference a few days makes.
Newcastle Upon Tyne
Kompany had every intention to get the ball. The ref was hopeless. Chris Foy hasn't a clue.
was worse but think both weren't sending off offences, yellow's at the most # nonecontactsport
kompany no red card but free kick. Johnson red card. What's your opinion on the matter? Rules need to be looked at though?
footballs too soft , neither were red cards!
no he shouldn't of been sent off you wool!
BOTH SHOULD OF SEEN RED, DONT MATTER WHO'S WORSE, 2 FOOTED TACKLE + BOTH OFF THE GROUND. #earlybath
dumbarton , scotland
kompanys tackle was faultless , ur opinion?
England - Gateshead
Johnson's was far worse! Both feet went in! Kompany went in with one foot, the other one followed through... MUFC-PROTECTION
Johnsons was worse but both took the ball and neither should have been sent off!
neither of them are a sending.those Decisions destroy the game. only If it is a blatant attempt to injure it should be red
Jarrow, Tyne & Wear
Johnson' had more malice about it and was at a greater speed. Very dangerous.
Newcastle Upon Tyne
johnsons was worse he kinda flew into it and was a lil higher
Johnsons had more intent in my opinion, rules are rules it was 2 footed, therefore a red card #nasty
bang on danny. it was worse than Kompany's yet the FA will do Fuck all about it
although both were 2 ftd challenges and wot the rules state I think the refs should be able to decide if it were intentional
tonight's was worse, more aggressive, no idea why either went in two footed these days. #3pointsonsundayplease
Johnsons tackle was twice as bad as kompanys, inconsistency in the premier league yet again by referees!
1 difference Danny. City players didn't even react. Kompanys wasn't a sending off. United players reaction got him sent off
'@dannysimpson12 in my opinion neither challenge was worthy of red but surely if kompany was sent off then so should Johnson? #noconsistency
Geordie Gabba Mafia
both similar, seems to be a massive divide at the min about what kind of foul deserves a red card
Both had both feet off the floor, both as bad as each other! 1step to the left = broken leg! Need refereeing consistency tho
johnsons was much worse. A lot more force in his tackle #inconsistentreferrees
didn't even think there was much in kompany challenge since the player jumped out of it
kompanys tackle should have been a caution.. Johnstons tackle should have been yellow!!!
Johnson should have been sent off. That tackle was worse that kompnays #ManUFan
Newcastle upon tyne
both feet raised studs showing, straight forward red according to the rules #inconsistentofficials
Johnson's was well worse than Kompany's! Do you agree?
regardless of whether or not Kompany deserved a red card, he got one and so should have Johnson as a precedent has been set
It was a far worse challenge than Kompany's, proper jump in with two feet.
Newcastle. Gold Coast Aus
he was lucky he had his foot slighty off ground or nasty brake. #nojustice. Agree?
none of them were bad.Chris Foy's decision was just wrong, that's it
if kompanys is red than Johnsons is definately a red. Lack of consistency within referees decisions is getting ridiculous
should have been a straight red for me. #InconsistentlyRef
is it just me that thought both were great tackles :/
no neither tackle were reds football is getting beyond a joke
neither were red card challenges tbf. Depends entirely on the ref for the day!!
Johnson's was defo worse out of the two! Inconsistency is the issue here!
u could also say that the man city player should have been sent off who gave the pen away with high foot and studs showing
Sunderland, Sunderland, United
didn't see Johnson's but Kompany's wasn't even a free kick. No where near, and was there about an hour before Nani.
Glen Johnson's by a long way but both of them got the ball so no red card for either! #itsfootballnotnetball #contactsport
Glen johnson miles worse. Was nearly karate, how he gets in the england squad before you is baffling. #simmoforengland
Newcastle Upon Tyne
don't think either was a red card, buy if refs are to keep the same standards surely Johnsons was worse!
both two footed ! Should have definitely seen red!
studs showing, an two footed red card..without a doubt!
johnsons was miles worse, kompany actually went for the ball. Fraction later n johnson has put the guy out
johnsons, kompany got the ball, and didn't jump off the ground like johnson did!! But then that's ref's for ya!
just as bad as kompanys so yeah should be red
100% agree! #fadoublestandards
Glen Johnsons tackle was much worse, can't believe he never even got a yellow card
Johnson all the way. But he got the ball so what's the rules
how can u give a red for something that's not even a foul. Neither tackle deserved red.
i think Johnsons wasn't. He was reckless but he timed it a little better than Kompany's. Ref had a great game today imo
didn't no winning the ball was a red card?! Would you expect a red for the same challenge?
newcastle upon tyne
aye two feet of the ground show of gone if we are playing by the letter of The law
who's tackle was worse? Neither were bad, BIG tackles. Nothing wrong with them, both got the ball, games gone soft
newcastle upon tyne
I love a good tackle like that but know if you time it wrong the consequence is horrendous! Letter of law both were red.
johnsons was clear red....kompanys yellow at most.hope your on dembas back telling him to stay put?
both are red cards the rules on this are clear and amazes me ppl even question it
I thought neither were fouls, both great tackles. Think the art of defending is sadly being taken out the game.
Johnson's tackle was worse, but neither of them should of been sent off. Both clearly won the ball.
kompanys was worse,both bad tho
as per usual no consistency, kompany could have been bad but should be a yellow, glenn johnson red no doubt
johnsons defo, kompany swept round and at least got the ball cleanly!!! Gr8 stop against man u btw #youruledude
none of them should have been sent off two brilliant tackles
Ballinrobe, Mayo, Ireland
ya def should have gone considering he had both feet off.the ground it was worse than kompanys and thats from a man utd fan
having said that i dont believe either were red cards.
Totally agree. but who cares as long as its not you doing that for the toons :)
johnsons was clearly worse and he should have been sent off. Yet again more inconsistency from refs #getitright
both very similar and if its deemed bad for one then it should for the other#inconsistantrefs
glen johnsons was worthy of a red and was much worse than kompany's tackle
couldn't agree anymore with this tweet. Clearly 2 feet off the ground just like kompanys!!! #hateliverpool #scum
johnsons was worse...proper two footed challenge #Bosh
none Shud hav been sent off
Johnson should of had a red his tackle was horrendous compared to kompany's terrible refs AGAIN
this is what is frustrating! Refs, managers, players and fans don't know what's going to be given a red card these days!
Johnson should have walked 2, if kompanys challenge was in the 74th min nobody would have complained about it being red!!
Yea definitely, the difference was there was no Wayne Rooney straight in the refs face last night!
red 4 me! Glen johnsons was worse! No consistency in reffing
I never wanna see a player sent off. Glens was closer to being an interception than tackle.
Johnson's was worse, need more consistency from refs. #nothappy
Kingston Upon Hull
johnsons was worse but the way things are going tackling is guna go out the game at this rate
no wellsy!! Kompanys was a quality challenge!! You'd of been proud of me if I done it ;) haa
deffo a sending off... he left the ground with studs showing.....
I'd have been proud if you managed to get away with it!
Johnson's was worse, but he still won the ball. Neither warranted a red card, but you cant tackle these days without a card.
we love you simpson we do, we love you simpson we, oh we love danny simpson<3
follow danny simpson please!:)
I agree. It's the inconsistency that gets me.
johnsons tackle was far worse than kompanys, no consistency with referees at the moment.
Who is better on your opinion, Glen Johnson or Micah Richards? Skill v strength!
definitely should have gone! Kompany must be fuming! big game sat....up the toon!
