Is anyone actually using Google+ for any reason other than its search ranking value? Why? What does it offer that Twitter and FB don't?

I am using Google+ as my main social network site. I prefer it to FB and have met some good people on there.

why do you prefer it to FB? What additional/alternative benefits do you feel you get from it? #curious

I prefer the less cluttered interface of G+ and the control over how much you share and with whom you share it. Also, I would say that I find FB is the place for talking to people you already know, where as G+ is more for connecting with new people.

What do you think of it?

I don't see much different about it that would inspire to put in the upkeep for another profile.

I guess if you like FB there is no point in yet another social networking site. For me, I have never really liked FB and it's clunky interface so I find that I put the effort in to G+ now and just pop on to FB when I need to talk to someone who is only on there.
