What does the things executives focus on tell us about the prevailing mindset of the organisation?

Very much, as of today. They play the most mngful role in shaping that mindset, be it what they would like or not.

I would like to think so too. I see little move in that direction though, nor in the habits of execs moving toward outreach

agree when focus is "out" of any one organization. Yet they shape conversation/mindset when "in". Not healthy too often.

in another perspective execs are too focused on very short term "results". Corp. culture is still there. Destroys value.

Most executives I meet focus on a range of issues. That's probably good.
