Been working on my computer again still having problems. Does anyone know what would ause the screen saver to just lock up? Pls help?

my old windows puter used to do that on "my pictures" screen saver. Turned it off but don't remember the perm fix :(

it seems to be happening on all of them causing the whole to system to lock up where I have to power down and restart.

Screensavers, especially ones that move, almost always have adware clogging your stuff up. Remove it and run Glary Utilities.

I turned off the screen saver. But don't remember what the perm fix was. If you have your windows cd maybe re-load it.

I do have it if I reload the cd will I lose all of the data that I have on the computer?

it may give you options like do you want to repair fixes. Going by a weak memory here. If it does, select that. If you reload..

...the entire windows program you likely will lose what u have unless u back up first. Just b careful. Or ask around more. :)
