How does one make lawns GREEN? Seriously. Mine isn't real GREEN. I put down some, uh, LAWN GREEN. How long does it TAKE?

Nitrogen, mostly. It's nitrogen that makes the lawn green. Adding epsom salts will also help. But you'll be mowing twice weekly.

Quickest way I now involves A LOT of spray paint and one of those things they line football fields with.

A friend of mine who lived in Oklahoma said that his neighbors used to spray paint theirs in winter. You could try that.
