Would it have changed the results? I doubt it. He also said he still respects states making own decisions. Small step.

I don't know if it would change the result, but Obama spending a few days, maybe a week backing it could have changed things.

And then it would have been turned into "Obama is meddling in state affairs" & issue would have been more about him than gays.

I'm just not buying it. He and Biden are just politicians who will stand for anything depending on political climate.
