CHF is the failure of the myocardium(heart muscle) to perform its function of pumping blood efficiently to the body....as a result fluids and blood congest leading to collection of fluid in the lung(leading to shortness of breathing especially at night when lying flat)and fluid in the abdominal cavity and lower limb.....some have a bit of a puffy face
