Right, who went to see Iron Sky last night, and how did it go?
Very happy to say I'm able to go on Friday. Very pleased that the run was extended, albeit briefly. Power to the people!
Stroud, Glos, United Kingdon
I just saw the trailer for 'The Great Gatsby' and it left me thoroughly depressed. It's going to be 'showy' isn't it?
I've ordered it on download, don't care if it's not the greatest, films like this deserve support
Wasn't on in Kettering. Is there as WoC on the dark side of the moon it was on?
not been but I imagine there was a heavy atmosphere in the cinema!
yep I saw it Stratford, loved it, loads of laughs, applause at end, screen packed. So y r critics panning it
I was working :o( Do you know why just the one night for a release?
can I ask why only put it on for one day. I would have loved to of seen it on big screen but could not due to work, unfair.
saw it at a festival last weekend, haven't laughed as hard in ages.
brilliant. Wasn't expecting too much, and the low budget showed, but a well made, light hearted affair.
Suffolk and London
Not playing in Suffolk. However saw Cafe de Flore which was beautiful, so thanks again.
Saw it in Poland a month ago. Looks great; not enough Udo Kier; sudden shifts in tone rather disorienting. 7/10
loved the downfall homage. Definitely a carry on nazis but still has more to offer than that. Will be a cult classic 8/10
…and laughter throughout even managed to counteract leaving school blues.
it was awesome! Actually saw it at half ten in the morning :D
was fantastic to be honest. Great atmosphere in the cinema as well #IronSKY. Needs a proper release.
Uber brilliant! - well ok it was really good! Depressing though that it gets 1 night & Expendables 2 posters plaster cinema
at least it's not another Superhero movie, though I imagine it might be just as painful to watch #seenitallbefore
Wotton Under Edge
saw Iron Sky last night & was pleasantly surprised. It does what it says on the tin,it's Nazi's and they're on the friggin moon
Brixton in the South London
i saw it last night. Thought it was brilliant fun.
Would have loved to, but by local Worldofcine not showing it, no surprise there then
saw it at Cameo Edinburgh, not a masterpiece but funny b-movie. Plenty of cheers, laughs and a couple of rounds of applause.
exceeded all expectations! 9/10 big laughs, packed cinema in Dundee engaged throughout and applause at the end. Good fun!
I know that was full (we came out of The Raid as people queued for Iron Sky) but they had projector troubles
wanted to see it but saw the raid instead...immense and brutal a winning combination.
Packed cinema at 4.40pm in Newcastle. Laughs all round with applause at the end. Give me this over big budget every time.
Duke of Yorks had projector trouble, so screening didn't start til 10.45, so I nodded off a bit. What I saw was great fun!
very very silly, some good jokes, special effects pretty good considering. And no ads because a 'preview'
Saw it at the Picturehouse in Stratford, missed the first ten or fifteen minutes as we were sent to the wrong screen :-(
I saw it (at a strangley packed cinema in Reading), gloriously ridiculous. Audience lapped up the satire silliness on offer.
Mostly full screening, lots of people laughing, some applause at the Downfall gag. Generally went down well, I thought.
Blaydon on Tyne, UK
Not seen it yet, but very surprised to see Iron Sky is already available on Sky Box Office. A straight-to-streaming release?
We saw it at 12pm at Leeds Showcase. Ratio all wrong, bottom of subtitles cut off. Management said ALL the prints faulty..
Saw it, 9:50pm screening & about 15 people in the audience! Full of fun, watch once type of film. #IronSky
It was a top load of entertaining engaging witty space nonsense with Laibach's take on Wagner - what's not to like?
Had shades of Dr Strangelove,20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and Independence Day and really lovely set design.Well worth a watch
For a genre movie choc full of filmic references, it felt incredibly fresh and original. Loved the satirical edge also.
Genuinely one of the most enjoyable films I've watched for ages. Only one day of theatrical release is THE WORLD'S LOSS.
Unfortunately, no showings of Iron Sky in Norwich. Have to wait for Blu-Ray release.
Not me. I sacrificed the evening sun to go see The Raid. 1 welshman and several indonesians just put hollywood to shame.
went to see last night. Great concept and design, average script but did make me laugh. Glad I made effort to see #ironsky
I went to see The Raid for a second time instead as my local Vue weren't showing Iron Sky sadly
Terrific! Thoroughly good entertainment;great sfx; laughed numerous times; even my wife enjoyed it. Loved the Zeppelins!
Husband and I pleasantly surprised. B movie fun, with some satire thrown in. It passed Kermode 6+ laugh out loud test.
Iron Sky : Marred by actual racism in the first 2 acts! Came together when the high camp and SFX kicked in by the latter half.
had no idea what to expect but think its about to become a cult classic. Very tongue in cheek and lots of very silly laughs
Showing in yesterday at 10:30. Really good fun. With a few Strangelove moments that made me smile.
not the greatest film you'll ever see but you know what a lot of fun with a crowd who accepted it for what it was a good night
Iron Sky was good fun overall,; a great Downfall gag, slightly awkward moralistic ending - not subtle!
Dublin's cinema announced 3 late night Iron Sky screenings having asked via Twitter would people like to see it.
If only mainstream cinemas learned a trick by snapping up a copy. Mars Attacks! meets Inglorious Basterds. Attracting everyone
was not shown locally BOO. so per ordered the blu-ray
I loved it. The Downfall and Dr Strangelove jokes were brilliant and it was impeccably designed. A real treat for €7.5m budget
3/10. This sci-fi spoof tries to be funny & fails. A waste of a brilliantly berserk b-movie idea with a yawn-inducing script.
I thought it was highly entertaining! It Knew what it was, good comedic tone. A fine little b-movie.
Loved it! Pity a large proportion of audience didn't "get" the Downfall and Dr Strangelove references.
Saw it at the Prince Charles Cinema. Lots of laughs, big round of applause and booing of the Revolver logo.
Report from friend said that the crowd in The Cameo, Edinburgh jeered at the RevolverUK logo when it came up.
l o n d o n
Saw it . Definitely passed the 6 laugh test and was 90 minutes of bonkers-Nazi-Earth-invasion-fun.
I enjoyed Iron Sky. But felt its one of those films its tough to recommend to other people unless they like that sort of film.
loved it, managed to be silly without being absolutely ridiculous
it was marvellous. Screen sold out so put another viewing on. Fun film, superb design. Utterly ludicrous.
off to see Iron Sky on Friday. Sounds ace! It is a factual documentary right? ;)
Saw it on Monday. It was stupid. But just amusing enough to not be crap.
I don't know if I laughed at it or with it, but I laughed and smiled ALOT
I am going Friday. Very excited!
I did. It was awesome. Huge fun, great satire and very enjoyable. Took great delight in booing at the revolver logo at start!
Iron Sky was PACKED in Nottingham last night. Lots of big laughs, especially for Finland's moment of fame.
Cambridge University, UK
I did, as it was running in Australia (seems to have had 2 wk window out here). 12pm show with ~5 in theatre.
Caught late screening, . Knowledgable crowd; went down well. Thanks for being only critic to talk sense about it!
Contained to the UK
pure silly daftness but mighty banter and yet surprisingly moving at the end. A one of a kind
went to the 6.30pm at the . T'was sold out!
Saw it on Monday. Audience seemed to enjoy it. I was disappointed.
I did. Good fun, plot kind of messy, acting patchy but still an all-round enjoyable film.
saw it at a sold out screening at 9pm really enjoyed it and so did the rest of the audience #sequel?
seconded, a couple of good giggles but it didn't really work for me.
Saw IRON SKY on Monday. Plenty of code / rule breaking in all directions (weird atmosphere), but #film was much laughed at.
Saw the late showing at .Rarely seen The Code so wantonly broken but if anything it helped. It was like a concert.
gonna wait for it to come out on sky looks good :-)
I thought it was great fun! the people sitting in front of me didn't appear to have the same opinion though!!
