Why are King's wives known as Queens, but Queen's husbands are known as Princes and not Kings? Anyone know? #question

It's complicated & depends on the person. Camilla for example is married to Charles but if he became king she wouldn't be queen

I believe because a king is ranked higher than a queen & a queen by inheritance is the ruler, not her husband.

Kings' wives are officially Queen Consorts. Queens' husbands are Prince Consorts. Consort gets dropped in front of name.
