Question for #NASAtweetupalumni: How much advance notice did you get when they scrubbed a launch? Days? Hours? #NASAtweetup

Depends on the type of problem. At launch for STS-133 it was 2 secs away from scrub! My advice: book a refundable plane ticket.

Yes, I've booked a refundable ticket. And I just heard about the 2 second window for STS-133. Wow...

just be prepared for flexibility, I changed travel and lodging plans at least 5-6 times in Nov. Part of the fun of space travel!

I also went to #STS130 and the first scrub was announced 10 minutes before launch due to low cloud ceiling.
