RAM isn't the same as flash memory. For instance, the 3GS has 256MB of RAM and came with 16 and 32GB (and now 8) of flash mem.

That would be disappointing, but it's still much better than my iPhone 3G with 128MB. I'm kinda surprised the iPad only has 256

I've heard rumors it's 512 MB of RAM but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

actually looking into it more that rumor is old and people are saying it's more likely 256 MB. We'll find out soon I guess.

Yeah, the iPad has 265 and I doubt the iPhone would have more than the iPad.
