no they have the metal bar that attaches the string handle thing to the bottom. They hang a little.

I also batch edit/resize the images before hand. It makes the project more manageable.

I always just imported the individual files into final cut. Set them to 1/6 or 1/3 of a second, or however fast you want it.

I know it's not totally harmless, but I do it, maybe, once a week/once every other week. I'm not worried.

Or, if it is on something other than Auto, try Auto? If that doesn't work, reset to factory settings.
